The growth of Duka, a South Tyrolean company specialising in custom shower enclosures, led to the creation of a new corporate headquarters near the Bressanone South motorway exit. Launched in 2017, the project represents a strategic step in preparing the company for the future and guiding it towards Industry 4.0, with the digitalisation of information flows between suppliers and customers. It is within this framework that the company’s largest initiative to date was conceived, known as “Duka 4.0”.
Duka 4.0, the new industrial hub that integrates production, training and digital innovation
A high performance Industry 4.0 hub that combines advanced manufacturing, continuous training and digital innovation, creating an evolved model of contemporary industry: Duka 4.0.
In just two years, a 300,000 m³ building was completed, characterised by its impressive scale: approximately 18 metres in height, 100 metres in width and 200 metres in length. The new facility brings together production, a training centre and administrative offices, as well as a dedicated customer showroom, all within a single architectural entity. Designed to optimise workflows, processes and logistics, the headquarters accommodates 300 workplaces and supports a production capacity of over 1,000 shower enclosures per day, ready to leave the facility on a daily basis.
The design team includes KUP Architetti, Grie Plan Srl and HB, with HB responsible for structural design, geotechnical design and overall technical coordination. The result is a contemporary, efficient and high‑performance industrial complex that establishes a new benchmark in the manufacturing landscape of South Tyrol.
