An iconic office building characterized by dynamic volumes and advanced structural solutions

These formal choices required innovative structural solutions, fully subordinated to the architectural design and its demand for clean lines and slender volumes. Drawing on extensive experience in post tensioned design, HB developed a combined static system that made it possible to achieve thin slabs and supports despite the significant loads involved—particularly those concentrated on the ground floor slab.

The result is a building in which engineering and architecture integrate seamlessly, creating an urban landmark that merges structural rigor with formal elegance.

The City Tower in Bolzano, designed by architect Roberto Nicoli, began construction in 2007 and is defined by a total volume of 53.800 m3. The building presents clear, linear forms, animated by a series of cuts and geometric shifts that bring dynamism to the façade and establish a contemporary, highly distinctive architectural language.
