The new St. Josef Nursing Home and Elderly Residence in the center of Merano, whose construction began in 2018, is one of the most significant social and healthcare developments in the city, with a total volume of 75.523 m3 and an investment of €46.000.000. Seen from above, the building forms a large H shape, composed of two elongated wings connected by a fully glazed central volume that acts as the distribution and social hub of the complex.
The raised ground floor accommodates all public functions: the main entrance, dining facilities, medical outpatient areas, and the rehabilitation center. The three upper floors house spacious, high quality rooms for a total of 150 beds, designed to ensure comfort, autonomy, and a welcoming living environment for residents.
